Looking back on 2025, and stepping in to what’s next
As the year starts to unfurl itself, and it becomes easy to get lost in future plans.
I always feel the urge to pause, and look back for a moment. Not to judge or tally things up too harshly. Just to notice. What shifted. What stayed. What surprised me.
My reflections showed me that 2025 was a year of movement, in more ways than one.
Time for Travel
One of my favourite moments came right at the end of the year, travelling to Budapest with friends for the Christmas markets.
Cold air that made your cheeks glow, warm food eaten standing up, laughter echoing down unfamiliar streets.
It felt like a full stop at the end of a very busy sentence.
A reminder that joy doesn’t need to be earned or justified. It just needs space, and to be invited in.
A moment for myself
This year taught me plenty, but one lesson rose above the rest:
self-belief is not optional.
No one will have my back unless I have it first. That realisation didn’t land as harsh or lonely, but empowering. Backing myself has changed how I speak about my work, how I price it, and how I show up in rooms I used to shrink in.
And I’ve made myself a promise: to celebrate everything.
Every win. Every achievement. Every goal, whether it looks big and impressive or quietly personal.
We’re far too quick to move the goalposts and forget how far we’ve already come.
This was the year I launched The Landing Lab, Copy Clarity Sessions, and my DIY copy templates. Each came from listening carefully to the same question being asked again and again: Can I make accessing my expertise even simpler?
Watching people find confidence in their words, clarity in their messaging, and momentum in their businesses has been one of the real highlights of my year.
A quiet quality
On a more personal note, I have to mention my favourite book of 2025.
The Prophets by Robert Jones Jr.
It’s a deeply moving and complex portrait of enslavement in the Deep South. Often hard to read, sometimes uncomfortable, but it felt necessary to witness.
The kind of book that asks something of you as a reader and then stays with you long after you’ve closed it.
Looking ahead, 2026 Feels quietly exciting.
I’m stepping into the year with an intention for curiosity, and a desire to grow. There is so much I want to learn, for myself, my business, and my family.
Slowing down. Asking the right questions. Trusting my own instincts.
I’m carrying the lessons of 2025 with me. The belief. The proof. The confidence that comes from doing the work and honouring it.
Thank you for being here, reading, replying, booking, sharing, recommending, or simply watching from the sidelines. It all matters more than you probably realise.
Here’s to closing one chapter with gratitude, and opening the next with curiosity.
ready when you are
If this year has left you feeling a bit stalled, hazy, or unsure where to take things next, you’re not alone. You don’t always need a new app or a new routine. Sometimes you just need clarity, focus, and someone who understands what you’re trying to build.
If you’re ready to move your ideas forward, tighten up your messaging, or finally get that copy off your to-do list and into the world, I’m here. We can work side by side, or you can hand things over and exhale. Both are valid. Both get results.
This is about momentum, confidence, and words that genuinely work for you.
